Companion of the Milky Way

Welcome to Companion of the Milky Way! In Greek mythology, as Hera suckled Hercules, the milk from her breasts spilled out, forming the Milky Way. The word for galaxy is related to the Greek word for milk, which is "gala." You might be familiar with galactagogue, a term used for consumables that are thought to increase milk supply. This is a new blog designed to share stories related to breastfeeding peer helpers/counselors and other paraprofessionals that work with breastfeeding mothers.
